Maximising your holiday at Spinnaker Quays

Tours & Attractions

Spinnaker Quays guests enjoy convenient access to many local attractions! A beach holiday at Mooloolaba can be complemented with a wide range of activities for you and your family.

A few suggestions:

Golf

We are able to arrange golf at Twin Waters at special rates for guests. Other courses for fun include Maroochy River, Headlands, Mt Coolum, and Beerwah.

Sealife Mooloolaba (formerly Underwater World Sealife)

If you’re staying for a week or more we suggest getting a VIP pass that entitles you to unlimited visits during your holiday... and it’s just down the road!
If you have younger children:

  • Purchase your family ticket.
  • Go in early so as to see the Seal Show.
  • Wander around until there's a bit of tiredness, get a stamp on your arm, come back have a rest, then go back later to see the rest of the displays and make it an enjoyable day!

Aussie World

Aussie World is great for smaller kids and they are always expanding their activities.  

Australia Zoo

It’s a great day out for the family. Buses leave close by each morning and return in the afternoon.

Canal Cruises

These leave from The Wharf just next door and are a great little outing for the family seeing who owns what, and who lives where. 

Markets & Shopping

No self respecting shopper should not miss of sharpening their shopping skills at Sunshine Plaza, along the Mooloolaba Esplanade, a tour of the Hinterland or markets such as Eumundi Markets. Good day tours are available with SunAir.

The Hinterland

A lovely day can be spent touring the Hinterland visiting Maleny, Montville, Flaxton dropping in to shops, wineries and cheese factories. And don't forget the great ice creams.

Fishing

Great fishing from Mooloolaba…more fish are caught from Mooloolaba than any other port on the Eastern seaboard of Australia. At the end of The Spit is where you’ll drop in regularly to get the freshest of fresh seafood…Mooloolaba prawns are special. Surfing Lessons

We have a number of surf schools available and the beach at Mooloolaba is perfect for the learner. For the skilled surfer there are great shore breaks and the lovely point breaks at Pt Cartwright and Alexandra Headlands.

Sailing

If you’d like to have a social sail while in Mooloolaba, drop into the Yacht Club Wed & Sun as they often are looking for crews.

Whale Watching

From June, July and August the whales are travelling North past Mooloolaba and then peak season is August through to early November on their return trip past Mooloolaba.

Go Karting

Serious fun for kids of all ages at the Big Kart Track... the largest in Australia!

Mooloolaba Beach

It's just over the road and in one direction there is a beaut little track at the end of the Mooloolaba Caravan Park, and the other direction Penny Lane.
In the garage we have"things" that you are welcome to use:

  • Beach umbrellas
  • Beach chairs
  • Body Boards
  • Toys
  • Fishing rods

Just help yourself to that which you can see. If you can't see something that you want please ask and we'll see what we can find for you.
Spending many days of your holiday on the beach really is a great way to enjoy your holiday in Mooloolaba.
